I can get by with South African an its getting better everyday ..i chose to learn it as i sucked at school i can speak very little french (but i cant write it) and i thought since michael was S.A it would be a perfect oppourtunity .. when we have a child Michael is only going to speak south african and obviously my child will learn the english from me.

I can understand a little bit of Spanish. I took Spanish in high school...had to. But around here in Texas they don't speak real Spanish..its more of a Tex-Mex.

I took 3 years of spanish, so I can understand quite a bit of that. But I'm starting to forget some things too because it's been so long. I'm in the process of learning Russian because of the Russian couple I work for. A lot of Russians call, and I can say just about enough to tell them who to call that can speak it better than me, lol. I've always wanted to learn Italian or Greek. I would love to be able to speak a couple of languages

I have mastered the language of "teenager"   Does that count?? rofl

Otherwise, bits and pieces of Spanish, from school, but not enough to say I can speak it.

I spent 7 months in Sicily and sure wished I could have communicated with them, made life harder.

I can understand some spanish but not speak it. I'm half hispanic and its a shame I dont know how to speak spanish, i think that would be cool.

I did take sign language in highschool and agian in college so I could have a decent conversation with a deaf person.

Other then that I dont know any other language, its hard for me to learn other languages. signing was easy though since it is all visual learning.

My sister though is amazing, she is 26 and knows english, spanish, chinese, sign language, and is teaching herself Italian right now for "fun".

Iay eakspay igpay atinlay, ootaty.
I think it's marvelous that you guys can sign, I never spent time doing that.
I learn Armenian from necessity, Spanish started out curiousity-then became necessity[the Mexican version of it]. Farsi is my one most natural tongue. I can listen to it as though it were music... I have as many Persian tapes and cd's as in English...so, a lot of the time it IS music.

I'm trying to learn French since my hubby is French and I'm working on learning my Native American language.  Those are the hardest because they don't use words like at, the, is, of and so on.

I can speak enough Spanish to get by. I wouldn't say fluent, but I can get my point across and even just hang out and Joke around.. though I am sure I do not conjugate correctly!

wow Latin! im very impressed. I learnt basic sign language at college to help with the childcare Diploma i was doing..Sadly some of it i have forgotten with lack of use

I had the oppourtunity to learn German, spanish and French at Upper School but i plumped for french asit was the easiest for me.

South african is a interesting language as ti has many traits of German, Dutch and French,

The hardest thing i find is the pronounciation of R. With S.A they roll there R where as in the english language we have never done that. IM still trying to learn to roll an R but i end up sounding like a purr thn an R

I have never taken a class on sign language I just bought the sign laguage dicatonary. It is easy to learn and remember if you have the book. Latin I don't remember that much of. I still remember my favorite word. Maximus = Large or big. LOL
