I don't have a cell phone but this sounded like a good idea Paramedics will turn to a victim's cell phone for clues to that person's identity. You can make their job much easier with a simple idea that they are trying to get everyone to adopt: ICE.
ICE stands for In Case of Emergency. If you add an entry in the contacts list in your cell phone under ICE, with the name and phone no. of the person that the emergency services should call on your behalf, you can save them a lot of time and have your loved ones contacted quickly. It only takes a few moments of your time to do. Paramedics know what ICE means and they look for it immediately.
I have this on my phone also. I also have a ICE 1...ICE 2 and ICE 3. That way there are a few different people to call. Being my husband, parents and daughter.
lol same here dusty..i only send the odd text message. Thats a great idea though.not sure if medics in the u.k use the same theory bit i'll have a look round and find out
oh and i can be forgetful at times so it also comes in handy when i need to look up someones phone number. my parents have had the same number since they moved a couple of years ago and i still have to look up their number. BAD DAUGHTER ! LOL
I always forget mine! lol But we have six cell phones around here. Each of the boys and then Russ and I. There are a few more not being used actually. These kids, always gotta get a better one.
