LOL what makes him my role model is that he had cancer and alot of people didn't give him much of a chance of living but he did live and the competed again and he kept winning and winning and winning until he retired. That is a shock to me.

definatly my sister patty. she put herself through beauty school and now has her own salon. she married a successful guy and they have a beautiful home about 5 minutes from me. whenever i need her she is there. sometimes she acts more like the big sister even though she is four years younger than me. lol  Sisters

my sisters precious to me but she is 10 years younger than me at 13.. i love her to pieces but to have her as a role model would mean i would giggle every time someone mentions the word willy, or hide with embarassment when some kisses on t.v lol and start passing notes around class

i guess i really look up to my dad..he has only smacked me once on the bum in my entire life when i needed some serious grounding and i thank him for that. He is not a man of many words but he is always there to listen

i look up to my dad too. he is a good hearted person. loves people and animals.its just hard being a preachers daughter sometimes. i feel like "the bad guy" because i dont go to church. my mom will tell me what a good sermon he preached and i should have been there and how my dad prays for me because he worries about me. so i end up just avoiding my parents. i will show up in church one sunday and they will both have heart attacks from shock . lol

I guess I would say my grandmother, Ava. She was a very strong woman and when she was suffering from here illness she was still very strong. Always worried about everyone else but herself. I loved my grandmother very much. I wish she was still here with us. And I wish she got to meet her granddaughter. Oh she would have loved Kaitlyn. Here is a pic of her. She looks frustrated here. I just love the old black and white photos.

My inlaws are Lance Armstrong fans. They also do bike rides around here. The hotter-n-hell is coming up and they plan on doing it.

My mom- A very down-to-earth, faithful christian woman who died way too early. Wish my son would have been able to get to know her. She died when my son was barely 2 years old. When you are a child, you just do not appreciate your parents. If I could go back and do things over..... The ol' "if i could go back...." wish!

I think Lance Armstrong is a strong, talented athlete, but as far as a role model. I couldn't have him as one. The things he went through were horrible and he deserves health and happiness, but I personally did not like the things he said when asked about his faith in God....about not giving any credit to God, but to his doctors. I know not everyone believes the same, but that is just how I feel about it. I am not meaning to offend anyone, but someone asked the question....I usually keep quiet about these kinds of things, but felt the need to say it.

Dusty- I would love to talk to you in chat sometime about being the daughter of a preacher....lol. That is a tough one!! lol

Hmmm..so many to choose from. I would say both my grandmums and my mum. I think my grandmums are just so caring and sweet to everyone. And my mum is just so level headed about everything I think.

it is not really hard being a preachers daughter. except that i dont go to any church, not even my dads. i am bad.i have just been going since i was born and am kind of burned out. i will go back soon though. lol. i have never in my lifetime ever heard my dad say a rude remark about anyone or cuss. everyone that meets my dad loves him and respects him. out of 5 kids , i was the animal lover. i got that from my dad. i would bring home stray animals as a kid and he always let me keep them. i had my rat in a glass cage and my mom found it and went ape. she made me put him outside in the cold. when i went to get him to hide him, my dad had already made a place for him in a crawlspace inside the recroom wall. he helped me keep him hid from my mom. lol . he doesnt preach at anyone outside of church, but is there if anyone wants to talk about god.he said he worries about me the most because i am the strongest willed of the kids but the softest of hearts. especially when it comes to animals. i will talk to you more in chat, but remember i am not the fastest on the keys here . lol

That's great, Dusty. My mom was the same way. She NEVER had anything bad to say about anyone. Never heard a curse word come out of her mouth. Never drank. Never smoked. However, she did not look down on others. She had tons of friends at her funeral when she died.

She was very spiritual, but did not talk about it much to others. I wish she would have talked about it more to me. The only mistake I see that she might have made was that I started rebelling early in life. Quit going to church regularly in about the 5th grade. She never made me go (sometimes making you go backfires, but...).

Didn't start back going to church until about 10 years ago.... After my mom's death. I knew I wanted more from life, be a good example to my son and to be sure that I will meet with my mom later on down the road (not that you have to go to church to do that), but you know what I mean....

sorry for the loss of your mother jaw. i havent lost either of mine, but i know it will happen. you dont have to go to church to love god. a church is a place of fellowship among christians. its whats in your heart that counts and god sees. my dad doesnt believe in preaching at anyone. he feels that it sometimes ends up driving people away. he said we should live our lives as good, honest, caring people. set an example for others, that when they see how happy and good we are, they will want to be like us too. i believe that to be so true.

My Nana no question. She raised me most of my life. She was always worried about everyone but herself which in the end lead to her death. She was the most loving and caring woman. I wish there was something I could have done for her in her time of need but it was too late. I wish my son could have met her, she would have loved him to bits and spoiled the crap out of him. She passed away in her sleep Dec 31 of 1999, she lived 4 years longer than the doctors said she would she just wouldn't give up. Her last dying wish was to watch me graduate high school which I had dropped out. She is why I went back and did graduate. She couldn't come to my graduation but we taped it and she watched it over and over again. I don't think she could have been prouder. I miss her more and more everyday she was more of a mother to me than my mother is and ever will be. I've had a hole in my heart since 12-31-99. She held my family together she was our glue, now that she is gone no one speaks to eachother and our family just isn't the same.

I would have to say my mom and dad (who is gone now) and most of all, my grandfather (dad's dad).  He was a bomber pilot in WWII, flew 35 missions and saved many lives.  I have read his diary and it would make an awesome book.  I am not for war but his life was amazing and he kept his spirits up through it all.

I totally agree with picking Lance Armstrong.  Hubby raced bikes for years and him and I have major respect for what Lance has done.
