i have a better question..........once they start, what can u give them to stop? and what is best way to prevent them? is there something i can put in her food to avoid this??
usually it comes down to the food you are feeding them. when i had rocky and annie on the royal canin, although it is a good quality food it made them very gassy. sometimes i had to leave my own bedroom in the middle of the night because i didnt have a gas mask ! i now have them on the chicken soup and they dont have the gas problem anymore.
Are there any ingerdiants that aren't in the chicken soup that was in the royal canin that could have caused the gas? Thats was I can figure out what dog foods are good for this. Or just dog foods that have most of the same ingedeants as chicken soup.
they dont carry it in the stores. the best place to find it is in a feed store, where they sell hay and grain . they carry the better quality dog foods.
Thats why I can't find any kinds of these dog foods. Dallas does have feed stores. The other 2 types of dog food I would put trinity on is pedigree or nutro.
A tiny tablespoon of active yogurt on the food will help with digestion. The Watcher has some darn fine Labradors, he has a point [about making them go out and doo-doo.]
In yogurt, there are cultures that transform milk to a solid, yogurt form. "Made with active cultures: FDA regulations require that all yogurts be made with active cultures. Only those that are not heat-treated, however, retain live and active cultures when they reach consumers."
Hi ya PD just like to say the yoghurt is defiantely worth a try what kitty suggested. It does help alot. I dont know if you have those yoghurt drinks with 'healthy bacteria' in them to help with digestion ..well the yoghurt works on the same principle but without the fancy pakaging.
and ditto to the watcher he definately has a point..take her out for one big poop lol
