Man what is with all of the storms all of a sudden. Yesterday we had a really bad storm come through and we lost power for over an hour and now theres another one coming through. Man summers in Texas are not suppose to be this way. Yea I like it when it rains but not this much. I mean dang.
It rained for about 10 minutes here today. Friday it rained for like 30 minutes and it was a downpour. I couldn't even see the roads when I was driving. I think we are still due for some more rain today. I love it when it rains.
I also love the thunder and lightning. But Kaitlyn and Oscar don't. Our power hasn't been out in ages. I also like the tornado warnings. Something exciting about them.
The thunder and lightning scares trinity. She runs all over the house looking for where it is coming from and when she can't find it she just goes crazy.
Gunfire!!!! LOL!! I heard someone shoot off a gun last night but Oscar didn't make one peep. But when it thunders he hops in bed and just stares around.
LOL thats funny. If I'm trying to sleep and its thundering and lightning outside she won't let me sleep cause she will lay her head on the side of my bed and whine. LOL
It has been rain like crazy here too. We are starting our monsoon. It is supposed to rain all week. I had to put my jeep in 4 wheel drive to get home on the dirt road.
My mom is visiting my grandmom in the lower desert, by the Salton Sea. I just got off the phone w/her. She says last night there was a spectaular storm, with thunder that was more like an earthquake, sheet lightning, and occasional chain lightning. I am sooo jealous, nothing beats a good desert storm for beauty and power.
we dont have major storms here like you do there but the weather isnt the way it should be..its summer here but cold and dark it feels more like autumn. I think it has alot to do with global warming more and more places are getting freak weather. we even had a tornado here that hit birmingham and caused alot of damage..thats unheard of. Freak flash floods that wiped out a village etc. the last really bad storm we ever really had was in the 1980's that was terrifying
