i just got back from shopping and i was wondering what your opinion on this food is...its abit more exspensive than the one he is on now but is it worth it Qaulity wise..?
Its called 'AUTARKY' and its for an adult
ingredients:
Maize, chicken meat meal, rice, chicken fat, green vegetables and carrots (min 4%)
Yeah, corn is first sooooo that means alot of corn in it. Corn is another item many dogs are allergic to also. Corn is not an expensive food. So the kibble itself should not be so pricey. I'm sure there is a wheat free food over there Twink.
I supose you could try it, but paying a higher price for it should not be.
thats another food of the list then lol.. i completely understand your reasons why its not soo good. Theres alot of Gluten free food here but its hard to come across a food with neither gluten or corn in it which is reasonably priced although i know you have to pay for quality..you have such a better choice in the u.s.a the shelves are maily stocked with Purina products here and ive been there and done that with that food lol Im seriously considering making my own food for Harvey but i will have to look into it more.
Twink, oddly enough, I went over to a poodle forum I go to to ask a U.K. gal what she feeds her poodle and she was asking a question today about the very same food. I think I recall, an Italy gal saying that her dogs did well on Nutro, I will find out. She is originally from England also. I posted the question over there on what they feed and will let you know if they bite. LOL
---------------- Juney, two good UK brands are Burns (the one I'm thinking of taking Bibi off) and James Wellbeloved (which I'm now thinking of trying her on - I'm feeling a bit wibbly about the Autarky). Both Burns and James Wellbeloved are wheat-free and generally hypo-allergenic. And I don't think they use maize/corn.
