Remember the dogs that got dumped down the road? And that I reported that the mother dog got shot? Well, it wasn't her! I guess it was another drop off that looked like her (I only seen it from a distance, after waking up to the gun shots). Although I'm still saddened about whatever dog it was that got shot, the mother dog is now here...with us. We do not plan to keep her, but will leave her here until we or the vet can find her a home. She plays in the yard with Ivan every morning and stays under our shed. I video taped them yesterday but can't figure out how to upload video to the net...lol ...so I can't put it here.
She is such a sweet dog....and I hope to find her the best of homes. One of the 2 pups that the vet took in has been placed. The other is still with a foster home. The 3rd puppy was never caught.
As a side note, yesterday yet another drop off found its way here...looked like a weim/greyhound mix.....big dog......he has expired rabies tags on him too....but before we could write any info down he darted off and we can't get close to him. He let us touch him that one time. I haven't seen him this morning though.
I'll try to post some pics of the mama dog when I can. She has the best personality...I can't imagine why anyone would dump her.
Aww, Ansy... your so nice to help them.../ Gun shot? that's horrible!! can you call the police , will they do anything? ( where are you?) it is so sad that people drop them ... errrr! ~
Looks like you are doing rescue work and did not intend to. Maybe you were brought to that house for that special reason. I am so happy for the pups that can be helped. thats great news. Good for you.
If you had alot of time and had connections i would say you should to this all the time with how many dogs are dropped off near your house on a daily bases.
Perhaps instead of a house, you should've gotten an ark. You're building up a ton of karma points. Too bad you can't exchange them for stuff as though they were eagle stamps. Okay, seriously, it's wonderful of you to look after the homeless dogs.
