Hi everyone. Thought I would pop in to see how everyone is doing.
We're all settled in in out little "castle" in the desert. I'm glad to say that everyone made the move alive, (fish and turtles.) The dogs are in heaven having all this space to run. I'm really paranoid about the dogs and rattle snakes since there seems to be quite a few this time of year.
Apparently, I'm to inherit a desert house one day. The idea of snakes with my dogs scares me a lot. I think I would keep anti-venom on hand. Not like you could get to a vet from out there. They do have avoidance clinics. I think that I would do that. They use shock collars to condition the dog to avoid the sight, smell and sound of rattlers.
