Found

In the newspaper yesterday there was an ad about someone finding a dane. So me being curious I called them to talk and ask them if they didn't find the dogs owners what they were going to do with the dog. Turns out he is very old and has bad hips. They found him walking on the side of the road in the rain. They think he was dumped. They decided to keep him because they have had two Danes in the past. And they think that he doesn't have much time. How sad...I am glad they decided to  give him a home in his last few days/months.

Ahh, that is very kind of them. Would you have taken him if they could not?

That is so horrible but at least for the rest of his life he will have a good life.

Yeah, me and Brad probably would have taken it in. But I'm not sure on how a senior dane would have done with a younger Dane and 3 year old kid.

Poor doggie! I'm glad the people that found him are willing to give him a home if the owners are not found though. But I bet if the owners do claim him, they will be really grateful. Being as how he is older, if they do claim him, that means he would have been with them for a long time, so that would be hard to lose a dog that was in your family so long like that.

hopefully he is just lost and his owners find him. it is more reassuring than thinking they just dumped him off somewhere. if not, it looks like the right kind of people found him and will provide him with a good home to finish out the reast of his years in. its a happy ending either way.
