After a looooong day of shopping I finally found a dress. What an adventure it was! I wanted to get the girls measured for their dresses today also so off we went this morning to Brooklyn. This trip is normally about an hour. Traffic was Horrible! It took us 2 and a half hours to get there. Thank goodness I packed pb&j sandwiches. We get there and Dear Lord! the store is closed on Mondays. So here we go to Staten Island to the Staten Island Mall. I knew it was a small mall but that they had Macy's but I couldn't remember what else they had. Didn't find a thing there so here we go to Short Hills NJ. They all of the good stores there. At Neiman Marcus I must have tried of 30 dresses. I found 1 two piece that I really loved but I said, "I've come this far, I'm not stopping now." So here we went to Nordstrom's, which had nothing. Than we went to Chanel and Oh My! they had the most beautiful dress in there. It was a dark cream color and it was trimmed in pearls. I fell in love. I talked myself out of it because it was 5 thousand dollars. Than we went to Versace, which had beautiful things of course but nothing for a wedding. I ended up with a dress from Dolce and Gabbana. It is a very deep chocolate and has a halter neck. I am going to try to find a picture of it on-line. If I can't I will take pictures of it tomorrow. The problem I am having is that it is very low-cut and the back it also cut very low. I'm going to have to do a lot of taping to get my boobs to look good in this dress. Me and the lady working there were pushing and pulling my boobs around all over the place trying to see how the dress would end up looking. I'm not very well endowed so this was an important task you see. Anyway, a very long and tiring day but we got one thing accomplished. I can't go back to Brooklyn tomorrow for the girls so it looks like I'll be going back on Wed. I want to go to this store for the girls because with this lady I can pick out a dress and she can make it in any size, color, and fabric.

I was always the type of person that bought the first thing I tried on. I remember for my Senior prom my dress cost 600 and my mom almost had a heart attack. But to make me happy she bought it. LOL!!!
I can't wait to see the dress. I'm sure it is beautiful.
I forgot to add. I tried on most of the dresses that I posted here. I could not find the Laundry dress that I posted at any of these stores. I tried on all of the Vera Wangs. They all were very pretty and looked nice on me but thats it. Just nice. Nothing spectacular. The last Vera Wang dress I posted, the wine colored one, I have ordered. None of the stores carry this dress at all yet. The only way I can find it is to go to the Vera Wang flagship salon in Manhattan. Even though I'm only an hour away I will only go there by train and I can't do that with the kids because of the taxis and no car seats. Some people don't care but I do. My kids are not getting in the car without being in their seat. Anyway I actually have bought that dress and it is being sent to me so I may end up wearing that one.
