Well I don't know if anyone has heard but there is a hurrican comming my way again. They say she's going to hit land sometime tomorrow night. I can't wait!
At this point i'm trying to figure out which is better Snow storms/blizzards or hurricanes. It's a hard decision in my book seems I despise snow.
florida has been plagued with hurricanes lately. i dont know if katrina is supposed to be a bad one, but i would be scared to death if i lived anywhere near her path. i am not a big fan of storms. a little bit of thunder and lightening and you can pretty much find me in the closet.
The latest update that I've heard has Katrina re-making landfall at a 2 at worst, but most models have it at a 1. Of course, that could all change, and the very warm water in the Gulf isn't good. I'm in New Orleans, so I, too, have to keep up with this stuff. This season has already been such a pain, and it's only August. I can't believe we're already on K in August. I'm so not looking forward to September and October.
We took a direct hit from Cindy (70 mph winds sustained). Luckily, my dogs aren't afraid of storms, but we had a Great Pyr staying in the kennel who was terrified. He can jump the door that separates the dog area from the kitchen, which is right outside my apartment. He and I are buddies, so he kept breaking into my place whenever I opened my door because he wanted to be with me. I felt so bad for him. Going through a tropical storm with a dog who's terrified and weighs more than you do is an interesting experience.

I was just watching the news and they say she could become a 3 or 4. They said she has great potirntal to become a major hurricane before re-making landfall. I mean she has barely moved away from FLA and she is already a Cat.2...I pray that she passes us all by.
The warm trough isn't breaking up as quickly as expected, so the forcast has changed significantly in the past 12 or so hours. The good news is that Stormy shouldn't have to worry because the storm is tracking much more westward, so Tampa should be fine. The bad news is that the storm is expected to come in at a 4, and New Orleans is now within the margin of error. Yippee.
