that was very impressive..i wonder if i just understands the sequence of noises it has to make or whether it actually 'understands' the trigger words ..like when you tell a dog to sit and it sits
that bird is incredible!!! its smarter than some ppl i know!!! ive always wanted a talking bird lol, does anyone know about them like what kind to get or how much they are etc?
That parrot is called an African grey and to buy here they are about £250.00 and then you have the huge cage etc to buy. They are great fun and realtively cheap to keep once you have bought everything adn low maitenance. The onlt thing is they can go from healthy to dead within 2 hours~ they are quite delicate animals and need everything very clean so they do not pick up any harmfull germs etc..i used to have a Patagonian Conure called Charlie~ he was absolutely stuning and like alittle kitten. he used to carry sticks around on the floor and roll around on his back he was great..i dont have a scanner but i'll see if i can find a pic on the internet. my mum has about 20 parrots of different breeds etc and colours..i'll have to take some pics
o.k this is exactly like my dear charlie..he was fantastic you could kiss and cuddle him and they are packed full of character ..but this breed is VERY noisy lol..i had no neighbours around me so i could gt away with it.
My mom is good friends with a lady who is a bird lady. Well, thats what I call her anyway. She trains birds. She is amazing with them. She trains them to talk by recording herself saying something and putting it on repeat and putting it in the room with the bird. She does this same saying until the bird starts saying it and than she records something else. Her birds are amazing. I have no sound on my computer right now so I don't know what this bird was saying but I've talked to her birds before and they carry on conversations with me just about like another human.

I could not hear anything. I may have seen it on t.v. not sure if it was the same one. My sister had a cockatoo, that was a $3000 bird. $500 cage. Nearly gave her a nervous breakdown with all teh noise she would make. It was given to her, she was used to smaller birds,Love birds. Those birds need alot of attention. You could not even have a conversation without it squawking louder and louder. I think brids are beautiful, but if you don't have alot of time to spend with them then leave them be. About drove me nuts watching her just a few hours.
