garlic

i have read somewhere that giving your dogs pieces of a clove a garlic on occasion, keeps them from getting worms. have any of you heard of such a thing and if its true?

I have heard of it..you put the raw garlic in their food and they are more likely to eat it and it also boosts the dog's immune system to make them less attractive to fleas, and second, it produces a smell in the dog that fleas don't like...but do NOT give garlic to animals with liver damage

my frenchies will eat anything. i give them tums on occassion. it helps balance the ph in their systems and helps with tear staining and upset tummies too. they dont have fleas. i use the advantage and it does an excellent job of keeping them off the dogs. i checked her stools and she does have worms. they shrink up and look like rice so i am sure that its tapeworms. i will call their vet on monday and get the pill . i'll probably have to worm them all just to be safe.

Love your avatar.
Eeerrr, The worm thing.
Dogs get tapes from swallowing a flea egg. No other reason, honest...
If the enviornment is not defleaed, and all animal on the premises treated...you get to do the whole expensive thing over, and over, and over again...
