What do you feed your dogs?

Right now I am feeding Nala Pro Plan large breed food. I know it is not the best food on the market so I was wondering what you guys feed your dogs so I could see which foods more people prefer. Thanks.

Thanks. I also give Nala some wet food and she loves it. It smells like cat food to me but she just loves it.

I feed mine Sensible Choice Natural Blend (it's the holistic stuff).  My dogs do very well on it.

Merricks dry also. Rudy doesn't like the wet for some reason. Granny's pot pie favor.

Right now I'm not sure I'm not the one who buys the food or the one who feeds trinity but trinity will eat just about anything.

We use Natural Balance. I just switched to the Potatoe and Duck formula because it is an allergy formula and I think Koda has allergies. I reccomend this brand to EVERYONE. My dogs LOVE it and until I find something that is better for them, I can't say I will be switching anytime soon. :)

Joe's on Purina 1 senior stuff...the first ingredients are chicken, chicken meal and ground brown rice....much better than the dog chow and Sophie's on Quality care plus...Mom got it at Ace hardware, the first 3 ingredients are the same as Joe's food, so I'm happy with it. My kitten has a jug mixed with 3 foods now, proplan, kitten chow and eukanuba stuff, don't ask I just put it all in a ProPlan jug. Makes her crap stink, but she's getting what she needs.

Oscar eats Diamond Lamb and Rice. Not the highest quailty but not the crappiest. Plus he likes it and his allergies are good on it.

Nature's Recipe, puppy kibble, Nutro Natural Choice puppy kibble, or Nutro Ultra, puppy kibble. Regardless of their age, they always get puppy formulas...

I know we have talked about this before, but I cannot remember what was said. What are the first ingredients you should look for in dog food.

I am currently feeding mine Natural Balance Venison. I just recently found out that it is the most expensive one that I could buy. Why I started with that one, I am not sure. I am trying to cut back on how much I spend, so I was looking at Chicken Soup, Canidae, Merricks and several others on this website.

http://www.metropetservices.com/index_products.asp?Call=showproducts&id=11

Any suggestions. Also, there are some as low as $19.99 for a 25 lb bag. What do you think of those?

Thanks so much!

Jawlaw,

We also feed Natural Balance and it is a very spendy dog food. I would suggest switching to the Potatoe and Duck formula, it is an allergy formula but the ingredients are still really good and they are about $10 cheaper. I am so happy with Natural Balance and I cannot ever see switching. My dogs are thriving (although I may have to get Koda on a weight management formula!!! lol)
