H. KATRINA > Search Home By Home ...Forced to Leave >> Pets LEFT behind...

Just heard on the News… Military / N. Guard …. Going in to search Home by Home…

Many of the people who stayed … stayed BECAUSE of their pets….

They will be FORCED out…and MUST leave their PETS behind.

 No PETS Allowed !!

How sickening SAD is THAT… On top Of everything Else…. ?

________________________________________________________________

[ … I’d put up such a fight… to take my babies with me.. After I went through the mind set to already STAY for the storm … and STAY the past week. ]

I just Do NOT understand…. Why the  Human and Animal Rescue can NOT organize Together … to SAVE Both  At the Same TIME…..

I mean For  “______” sake … THEY KNOW .. that  many of the People who stayed … STAYED BECAUSE of their PETS!!!… So they already Know there are PETS as  WELL as Humans to rescue!!

ORGANIZE !!!  ….. It’s BEEN almost a WEEK NOW….

Take names, addresses , location, count of how many pets are being left behind… SOMETHING !!

How many more days can they survive w/o water ?? or Food ?? and Now being locked In the Home… ALONE .. Abandoned …

Just SAD… heartbreaking… all the way around…

i could not have left without my pets. period. that would be like someone trying to force me to leave my children behind. i cant understand why people were forced into leaving them behind. i cant understand why the whole rescue has went the way it has. and i'll prolly get my butt chewed for saying this but, the government got to iran faster than they did to those hurricane victims right here in our own country. and i have as of yet to hear of a feasible explanation as to why.

PUTTIN ~... I cross posted the artical above ... ~ Thanks for finding it

The Government ( President Bush)  Went on the Air 2 days Before the Hurricane hit…

stating “ be Ready… get out “ ...and waited for the Governor / Mayor to make a request for Help… ahead of the storms arrival…  No Help was asked for.

The Government can not Trump the individual decision of the local Governments .. in this type of situation …  >> it is a fine line… and if crossed …

Now Could the Government already had Military / N. Guard on stand-by .. YES.

Could there already had been Supplies ready to go… YES…

The Government KNEW this storm was the Big ONE… and even following the course of the laws of OUR Constitution … and Not being asked for help prior… Had no meaning to the fact that Knowledge of the Deviation to come …Was There… AND it Made for PRE READY condition.

That is why I can't sleep... will they get rescued?? So many are in the house left or chained and left....

Makes me think of Animal Planets .. Animal Cops... and the neglected , abused  animals...

I am so heart broken at the idea.... Can't look with out bursting into tears.!

On my local news they are showing people from the AC and HS heading up north to help get the pets out. Tampa shelters are already full from pets being shipped here.  There are groups there already getting the pets just not showing it on the news. From what I have heard they will be keeping then getting them back in good health and holding them for a certian period of time hopeing the owners may come for them, then they will start adopting them out if they owners haven't come for them in that time period.

Thats great news. Those poor animals have just been put thru way too much too. Glad they picked up that womens dog along with her. When you think about it, more man hours will be put out if they don't get the pets at the same time rescuing the humans. It makes sence to get them now instead of later.

I totally agree puttin. Its easier to get both humans and animals at the same time then at different times.

On the news they said they will only PTS the severly sick or injuried. All of our shelters here are no kill shelters. They will keep them all until they are adopted or reunited with their owners.

Thats how it is here stormy but the shelters here are already full. I went by the shelter yesterday and they had 4 mother dogs with pups and at most 3 dogs in every fenced in section together.
