I took him for a walk today..our first "long" walk around the neighborhood...I wanted to see how he reacted to things, and if he did well...When we walked by houses that had dogs, he would look at them and bark but after a firm "No!" he would continue walking. He doesn't pull to much on the leash..but when he sees small children..he goes nuts trying to pull me towards them! He is also very aggressive when he plays..when he is being petted he will bite, sometimes very hard..I tell him "No!" and he gets excited and keeps biting! He is going to be a very large dog and I'm worried what will happen if I dont fix this now. Also, he still thinks Sandy and Danny are his personal chew toys. Any advice is very appreciated.
get yourself a spray bottle. one that has some power . everytime he acts up, spray him in the face. i used to have the same issues with harley when he was young. he is scared of the bottle even now. all i have to do is just show it to him and he cowers. but he doesnt bite or chew on the other dogs either. nor does he chew on anyone. lol
Have you had his teeth checked to see if that might be the reason he is biting. Thats what the case was with trinity she has sensitive gums. So she can't really have raw hides I give her rubber toys and squeky toys. Now shes doesn't chew on me. Before it was so bad when we were at the dog park or some where wit han large open space even in the backyard if Ihad my back turned to her she would jump up on my back bite on to my hair and pull.
