Well, in one of my posts, I made the comment that my family had found a potential new playmate for Koda. Koda has been very depressed lately and we feel that he knows Kaia is going. Well, at the shelter I got a call about this girl and I know that she doesn't have alot of time there due to her breed but they said that they can hold her for me unless someone else adopts her (which is okay with me) but they can hold her until after Kaia is gone. We are going to take Koda up Wednesday and let him meet her and see if they get along. I know I cannot replace Kaia and I am not trying to but I think a new happy face around here will really help everyone. Plus, I know that she is running out of time........What do you think of her? I have been up to see her twice now and my girls LOVE her and my hubby is meeting her Wednesday too.

We can't bring her home until after Kaia is gone. I would feel so absolutely guilty. I want Kaia to know that she was extremely special to all of us right down to the very end. The other dog is "safe" until after she is gone. Kaia means alot to all of us, and I do not want her last thing to see is us doting attention on another dog. (Other then Koda) But she has already gotten used to him. :)
