This subject has been beat to death, but I need to know again.
That other thread was getting lost, so here it is...
Out of Merricks, Chicken Soup, California Natural, Canidae, Innova, which is the best for the money ( your opinion). Also, is there anything out there that is more reasonably priced than these that is still decent enough to feed your dog.
Here is the cheapest one on the dog food service that I use. I am sure it is not much better than grocery store dog food, but can someone tell me what they think?
all those foods that you have listed are good foods. i pay about 30 dollars for a 35 pound bag of the chicken soup. i have tried some of the other better brands and my dogs alway had loose stools. they have been normal since they have been on the chicken soup. thats why i have stayed with it. maybe you could just get a small bag of whatever you are leaning towards feeding, and see how well they do on it.
I feed Nutro Natural Choice, puppy kibble. Nature's Recipe, puppy kibble. or most preferably, Nutro Ultra, puppy kibble,or canned[for small pups and lactating bit#hes].
I used Nutro senior for a cat at my parents that looked like she was losing weight, and she gained it back (I'm sure since i've moved out they've quit feeding her it, but have started feeding her in a seperate room)
Originally I had Lola on Purina One, but it made her stinky, switched to Nutro puppy and no more stink!
Tiki and lola both are on the nutro, switched them to small bites with some flavor, and doing fine. Course Tiki has to get a protein supplement cuz the new food isn't as high in protein as the Puppy.
Plus Tiki has starting raiding the kitties litter box and their Indoor Nutro kitten food *Sigh* gonna have to fix that one, making her poo a little liquidy. (may have been that benedryl too though)
Honestly, I don't know whats the bestter price. I do know with buying the high quality kibbles, you don't have to feed as much as the lower quality ones. We use Innova and Artemis small breed.
