I still don't know yet if I'm getting one. They have another one coming into heat within a couple of weeks and they have one coming into heat in December that they are planning on breeding with the #2 bulldog out in CA. They only have 3 males in this litter. They are all mostly white with a bit of brindle patches. They also don't say if the bulldogs are show quality until they are 8 wks. old. They don't let the puppies go until 9 wks. Even if one of these are show quality I'm not saying I'll take it. I don't know how I feel about that coloring. I'll just have to see it. I know I'm being very picky but when I'm spending this much money I have the right to.

Oh, big time...you need to be happy with what you get or it will never sit right with you. I tell pup buyers that say "well, I don't know" to go away and think about it. It is not fair to them or the dog. If you don't know FOR SURE when you see the dog, it is unlikely to grow on you, and as you say...this is not a case of rescue, there will be plenty other buyers for those pups. When I send an "I don't know" away, the next person that sees that pup, invariably throws themself to the ground next to it and gushes "oh, my god, he's perfect" "I've always wanted one just like this" and THAT is the response I am looking for as a seller of these pups.
Oh I totally agree with both of you. If you don't throw yourself down on the ground, take it as an omen. Not for ya even though they are still little buggers. I know too that you have to hold yourself back also so's not to get attatched to the wrong one, You want show dog material. What if you fall for the wrong one. It will be heartbreaking to just let it go.
You are so lucky!!! I'm jealous. I know when I first laid eyes on Oscar I knew he was the one I wanted. I went right by the other puppies just to get to him. The breeder automatically told me that Oscar was "the one for me". I usually get the pup that catches my eye more. I can't wait to see some pics.
I was in absolute heaven! It was so unbelievable. I'll post pictures tomorrow. I took a lot. I think I took 84. I can't even explain to you how wonderful it was for me. Two of the older ones were out when we got there and we all played with them for a while. Next they brought out the boys mom than they brought out the girls mom. We didn't get to see the boys or girls dads because they were on there way to a show but I have met them before. Next they turned all 6 puppies loose and here they came. For 2 hours I just sat in the floor with 6 bulldog puppies crawling all over me. I want them all! I did have one that I just fell head over heels for. His "name" is Manny. (They give them names just so they can keep them straight) He was so cute. He was the wrinkliest one of all. My next favorite was Jack. He was the runt of the litter. He was a sweetie. There is one little girl who is such a beautiful dog. She is huge. She was almost 2 pds. when she was born. I don't know how much she weighs now but Zoe weighs 13 pounds and she felt about the same as her. She's only 7 weeks old. She's going to be one big bulldog. If she doesn't get to big to be shown she will be a wonderful show dog. She will make some show mommy or daddy extremely happy. They don't let them leave home for about 3 or 4 more weeks. It all depends on the dog. I'm going to go back out in about 2 and a half weeks to see how they've grown and to see how Manny is doing as far as being a show dog. I loved him! Also to make sure I feel the same way about him.

bulldog puppies are cute. we thought about getting one but i wanted a similar look, but smaller. i was watching the westminster dog show with quinn and out came a french bulldog. we had never seen one before. but we both looked at each other and said theres our dog ! lol. when i started doing research i was shocked at the prices they were asking. 2000-3500. so we researched and saved and two years later we got our frenchies. it was love at first sight !!. i am so happy for you. i remember how i paced the floor when the time got close for them to arrive. i worried so much about annie as she flew all the way from moscow, russia. well worth it all !!
My husband wants (ed?) an english bulldog, but not your standard bulldog, one that stood as tall as the american bulldog. He tried to find a picture for me but didn't have any luck so I told him he could get a frenchie. I lived with my parents put for 4 years (if that's how old the pug is) and her breathing alone was enough to make me say no to and english bulldog. Not counting all the allergy problems and yadda yadda yadda. That and the underbite kinda scares me. lol I brought lola home and she was so ugly (i thought) but she's grown on me and I love her dearly. dont know what I would do without our whiney Lola. If I ever get a scanner I'll post the 1 pic I have of lola and I about a week after I got her.
Oh my gosh how could you say that about pretty Lola, cover her ears she migth have gotten her feelings hurt. I love the look of the frenchies. They have to be my favorite of the bulldogs. Everytime I see one I have to touch their cute little faces.
Oh Zoe, they wait is just so hard. I knew about Lilly the day she was born, and about 4 days later knew we were going to get one from the litter she was in. 3 months was so hard. I got to see her about 4 times thru pictures before she actually flew to me, I could not sleep a wink that night. I will keep my fingers crossed that Manny is the one for you.
