I am sorry I didn't get back on last night. It was a hard day. Kaia was given a sedative first and she went to sleep on my lap, the silly girl started snoring so very loud, about 10 minutes later the vet came back to give her the shot and Kaia snored until her last breath. :(
I know she is better off and now I need to concentrate on Koda. She will be severely missed. I wanted to say thank you again to everyone for their support. It really does mean alot to me and my family. The vet gave us an imprint in clay of her pawprint. He wrote her name on it. She was a very special girl. And she was very loved.
I'm so sorry you had to go thru that, Katz!! I know how hard it is to make that decision and follow through with it. I found that keeping one of Eli's old stuffed toys (a stuffed squeaky bear), with his scent on it, made me feel better for some reason. It was his first stuffed toy we bought him and it's still in pretty good condition, we bought it for him right after we got him and he didn't have enough teeth to rip it to shreds so his stuffies lasted forever. I did put his last favorite toy in the box with his ashes and his collar. We decided to have him cremated instead of burying him, since we were only 2 months away from moving when we put him down. I'm glad we did that. It's nice to know he's still with us here :) Hope you will feel better soon and will get another dog for Koda to play with. {{{{{Hugs!!}}}}}
