Giant Erect Ears! On a Pit?

  Sam is a Pit.  His ears stand up at times almost totally erect!  Anyone think this is common with Pit bulls or do you think he is mixed?  He is very cool looking, but the only pits I have seen have cropped ears, or ears that lay down.  Sam lifts his ears up, and they are big!  I bet he is bull terrier mixed with pit!  His face looks different too, even the lady who is fostering him said he looks like he has a little Spuds Mackenzie!

Not all the time do they lay down when they are not cropped. There is a lady on Pounder Pits who has a white male and his ears are not cropped and his ears are almost always standing.


I'll see if I can use one of her pictures to show you, he's a total cutie BTW! lol

He is very cute. My dad has a full blooded pit and he has one ear that kind of stands up.

  When Sam is excited both ears stand up !  My neighbor thought it looked cuter to have one up and one down.  I want another pic of both up, mmm, maybe tomorrow!

most of the pits i have seen have cropped ears so i dont know what their ears look like uncropped, but that pic with one up and one tipped is adorable !! what a handsome guy he is !!

  Thanks so much!  Cute pics.  Diesel looks similar to Sam, but sam also has a bit of a hump on his nose/muzzle.  Other then that pretty close!  If Sam is not full grown yet, maybe he will grow into his ears! lol
