Are you confident enough to do something like this [TV show]? I am watching it tonight. Talk about leveling playing fields. I think it is a real good thing for our diverse cultures and personalities. Gotta be REAL mature to handle it, I bet....
I love watching this programme..i would definatly give it a whirl if Michael was taking the pee out of me or visa-versa or we were having relationship problems. It has given many relationships a kick up the bum and they have gone on to being a happier couple but one show i watched the wife was having problems with the hubby (he was a complete A**) and at the end of the show she realised there were better men out there and left him
oh and speaking of diverse cultures etc ~ there was one black couple and one white couple . The white coupe were racist and there faces were a picture when the white man come home and there was a black woman he was gonna have to live with for a week. Well it was pretty awfull to watch (as im not racist). It was a good idea that the show tackled racism and put these two couples were swapped. The white man and woman completely changed the racist views they had after a week which was great.
LOL, I watched the one last nite!! It was sooo hilarious at the end when the couples all finally met. The women got into such a b*tch fight that they had to be split up for 3 hours to cool down, then they met again. The one lady, who was black, had all sorts of rules for her two boys and the other lady, who was white, didn't have any rules for her young son and daughter- that was their big difference. And the white guy evidently said the "N" word around the black lady, which was wrong, and at the end he finally realized that it is a swear word and he said he'd never say it again. It was a good episode. The white lady was a lazy ass and didn't do anything around the house, her hubby did it all for her and it was opposite with the black family. I didn't see all of it, but I got the jist of it from the 1/2 hour I did catch of it. I really like that show!!
Yeah, that's the one I watched. You can't help but think that those people came out a little better for it, all around. I thought the two older teens in the black family were a crack-up when they saw mom was gonna play poker with them instead of ball practise. Not that I approve of the way she lived, I don't gamble, but it was funny watching her unlace those folks a bit. Her husband deserved a rest, too. Poor Mr. Mom. The black housewife sure had her act together, I want her as my role model [I still don't want kids, or other folks kids, but I could definately spend more time cleaning my grubby house]... It's cute how relieved they are to get back to their own families
I could never do that show. Not for any reason except for living in someone else's house. I'm a freak even when it comes to other people being in my house. Whoever stays over is allowed to use the bathroom thats in the bedroom I put them in only. As soon as they leave that toilet is bleached and scrubbed endlessly. I just can't take it. I also use the lysol after they're gone. Not that I think they're dirty. They're usually my family or friends but I don't know what they brought into my house to give to my kids or dogs or myself or my husband. I'm so bad that when I go away I take my own sheets. Even to my moms house and especially hotels. I know its crazy but I can't stand the thoughts of sleeping on someone else's sheets. I do a lot of other crazy things like that but I won't mention them all. I already sound like a wack job. I'm always afraid I'm going to offend someone when they come over but thank goodness I never have. Pretty much everyone who comes in my house knows how I am. The ones who don't know me don't know what I do when they leave.

LOL, Zoe. You sound like you've got a little OCD or something ;) My mom's the same way pretty much. She and my dad almost never stay in hotels, that's why they've got a camper. But I bet if she did stay in a hotel, she'd prolly bring her own sheets too. I've thought about doing that, just because I've heard stories from ppl that clean hotels for a living and they say that they only have to wash the bed spread like 2 times a year!! So when I get to a hotel, I always throw the bedspread on the floor, first thing. I think next time I stay in one, I'll bring my own towels and sheets, it is a gross thought that they might not have washed that blanket or those towels in hot soapy bleachy water. ICKY!!!
I have special pads that are only for company that I put on top of the mattress. I've already got that angle covered. The worst is when the dog sitter sleeps over with my dogs and sleeps in my bed. She gets 2 sets of sheets and 2 mattress pads. After that the mattress if lysol'd very well.

omg zoe ! you are too funny. lol i have a friend that is the exact same way. she has lysol ready for any guests. you have to call before you come over too. i keep my house clean too, but i also live in it. i make people feel comfortable while they are here. i think lysoling the heck outta stuff is a waste of time. germs are everywhere , including inside our body. you are way more likely to get sick or contract desease if you have never been exposed enough to build up your imune system. first time you have to spend too long in public, you're a goner ! lol
Dusty thats what everybody says but we are surprisingly healthy. I mean we get out a lot. Its wierd because I don't carry around the germ stuff and continously wash everyones hands with it. That kind of thing doesn't bother me. Its just that I don't want anyone else's germs in my house except my family. Does that make sense? I know its wierd but I have a lot of wierd little quirks like that.

no you are not weird zoe ! lmao. my friend louise was the exact same way. you could eat off her floors. she would change her whole house decor every few months. she kept everything that she didnt use in plastic storage containers. and sometimes you didnt even get all the way out the door before the lysol would come out. but she was a good person and alot of fun to be around. she just was clean to a point of being a fanatic ! lol
My dad's wife was like that. I told her she had an obsessive/ compulsive disorder, when she was bragging on her cleaning fetish one day. She was a little ticked at me for that I could use someone like that around here, wish it were me...
