When I first got Hyde he was a picky eater, but after about a week he has eaten every meal put in front of him. Today though he didnt eat hardly any breakfast, he ate a little more lunch but not even half of all he got. I took him outside and when he pooped it was pretty runny, but not as bad as i have seen it. Otherwise he is happy and acting normal, playing and everything. Should i wait and see if this continues tomorow before bringing him in?
Im notrious for bringing my dogs in cause i think something is wrong and then it turns out to be nothing. So im hesitant to bring him in unless this continues but im still worried. Hopefully he will eat dinner tonight.
Hyde might have just gotten ahold of something that didn't agree with his stomach. I saw wait a couple of days and if it keeps up call your vet and see what he says.
I agree with PD. Keep note of everything and if it would make you feel better call your vet and see if they agree. My vets never tell me to come in unless by my description it seems like it could be something wrong. I would just keep an eye on him. Good Luck!
:( Poor Hyde! He sure has had a heck of a time lately. I also think you should just watch him the next few days. But if he becomes too lethargic, I would definately take him in. Check his gums and make sure they aren't too white. That could be a sign of sickness or dehydration. Keep us posted, I hope he is okay.

wasnt it just a little while ago that syd was sick? maybe they are getting into something thats making them sick. some plants are poisinous to pets. inside and outdoor plants. they could be getting ahold of frogs or anything. i would watch them real close and see what they do when they are outside. it could just be a matter of watching them and seeing if they are eating anything while they are outside. you could have some poisinous plants that you arent aware of.
Thats what I was thinking Dusty. Lilly munched on a leaf not too long ago, and she had explosive poop for one day. Fast for a day then do the boiled chicken and rice. How much does he weigh now? He could have one of the stomach parasites guardia or something like that. But fast him first. Usually I beleive if a dog gets guardia, he may get it again off and on thru its like. I think it was guardia. Has he had it?
Hyde has started showing some syptoms of parvo but we are hoping and we think it has to be something else. Yesterday he wasnt really eating, and my boyfriend told me last night he went poop in the bathroom and there was blood in it! I had Jason take Hyde to me at work ASAP, but we didnt have parvo tests, we went to borrow from another hospital but they didnt have any either. Since they think it probly isnt parvo im gonna watch him tonight for any signs(i never saw the poop, so i will be checking that all night) if i notice blood in his poop today/tonight im taking him in first thing tomorow and ill pick up a test from yet another hospital. Luckily Hyde is acting normal in every other way, so i guess I find out tomorow for sure, thanks everyone!
Those are symptoms of worms or coccidia. Get the vet to give you medicene for coccidia [watch the type with Syd's weak organs. Worms and coccidia both rehatch after treatment. If the house, yard and bedding are not treated, coccidia oocysts [like eggs] remain dormant for a long time. I had to do the property with Lysol IC hospital cleaner, bleach does not kill coccidia. I think Panacur granules do worms and coccidea both, it is pretty broad spectrum. If you have access to nutro ultra, that has 2 kinds of acidophilus in it, kept my last 3 litters free of diareah...
Yes, Thats what I was trying to think of Coccidia. How could he get parvo when you are caring for him right. Other things can cause bleeding too. Try what Kitty said. Also bring a stool sample along with ya.
thanks guys! The only reason I thought it could be parvo is that there was an outbreak at the pound and we see those animals and also thursday a women came in with her small dog, who i was caring for in back, he had parvo and has been staying at our hospital.I washed my hands and we sprayed bleach all over us, not straight bleach. Thats why parvo came to mind so quickly.
Will see what tomorow brings
Oh Ivy Syd is doing great! she must have gotten into something in the yard.
