I was sitting with Winnie when i noiticed something red by her nose. It is a bump that is red and its bleeding but not gushing blood or dripping blood, there is just freash blood on it. Its under her nose a little to the side. I have no idea what this is, it looks weird and when my boyfriend saw it he freaked out saying she has herpes and is gonna give it to us. But im concerned for Winnie, does anyone know what this could be? Here are some pics, sorry they arnt to great.
To me it looks like a zit. Oscar got acne not long ago and when I switched him over to a stainless steel bowl it went away but it was there for a long time. I'll try to find some pics for you of his zits. They also bled when he rubbed them wrong.
Thanks Paige, I couldnt really see them in the pics.
I've never seen a dog pimple so i dont know what they look like, but Winnie has never eaten out of plastic bowls. What else can cause pimples? How do you treat it, do you have to go to the vet or can it be treated at home?
I think i will still take her to work with me so someone who has seen pimples can tell me if that is what it is. I also have to bring Hyde in, he is still limping. I dont know whats going on with my dogs, but it seems most of them are having problems at the same time, must be that time of year or something...lol.
His zits are right to the left of his mouth. They were huge I remember. plastic toys can also give them. But you can bad listerine on them with a cotton ball. She won't like it but sometimes it works.
Tucker had one on the end of his nose that looked just like that. It was so gross. It would pop and bleed all of the time. It lasted a little over a month. It was a zit.

Thanks everyone! I cancelled her appointment cause one of the techs looked at her and said it was probly just a pimple or cyst and that she would be fine. Thanks everyone, you were all right!
