Now Casey's sick too

I noticed last night that Casey's nose is hot. I didn't notice that it was runny at first because he was licking the mucus off. they are both coughing and sneezing which sounds weird coming out of dogs. I called the vet but he's closed today and won't be open until tuesday. I have clavamox for Iko and was thinking of giving it to Casey too and then get more from the vet on tuesday. My problem is that iko is 9 lbs and casey is 18 so i hesitate to give them the same meds. I think i'll call the emergency vet (alt number when reg. vet is closed). I don't see how they could both have kennel cough since they have both had the vaccine for it. I think it's the canine flu but the vet doesn't want to say so and start a panic.

if it is the canine flu, it is treatable with antibiotics. i would get casey in too. with alot of meds, the dosage depends on the dogs weight. you dont want to give him something that was not specifically prescribed for him. this is the flu season, in dogs as well as humans. once it is contracted, all we can do is fight it with antibiotics while it runs its course. i,m sure your pups will recover fine.
