No matter what I do, I can not keep this boy out of the water. He was out playing the mud AGAIN! Now he needs a shower......

That is me holding him(yes, I cropped my self out of the picture) he is getting heavy. I am taking him up to get his shots soon(probably tomorrow) so I will find out how much he weighs.

Katz be carefull washing him that much. It's not good for a Chows skin or coat to be washed alot. Some breeders say once a year and some say every 6 months. A lot of times just wait for him to dry and brush him good, it gets the dirt out and it gets him used to being brushed. Chows need at least one good brushing a day.

Oh I know, alot of times his "bath" consists of a baby wipe and washing him off. He gets brushed a few times a day anyway. This is actually only his 2nd bath. The first one was right after he got off the plane, and he stank. He had had an accident in his crate.

You all know I have those giant cages in the house.
A muddy dog goes in one, and after it dries, the mud just vaccums out of the kennel pan..
