Diaper for a Amstaff ????

If Sam is ever adopted, {which will be tough I think!!!!!}  He pisses everywhere!  HELP!!!  We have already tried everthing UNDER the sun I think!  HE is so so so so HYPER!!!!   I think he could be easily be placed if he can get" it" under control!  We have tryed timed feedings, and regular feeding schedules.  BM's arent a problum like the excessive "peeing".  And yes he did get neutered!  Maybe too late, I dont know!   Im thinking about trying a diaper?  He is an avid chewer though, so maybe he would just chew it off????

you could try a diaper on him and see how he does with it. have you tried putting his water down with his food only. he cant pee if he's not full of water ! lol . some dogs are just more hyper than others and cant hold it as long. hopefully he will get it soon. lol maybe just limiting his water to just his meals might help until he gets it under control and you can add it a little more until he gets the hang of it. lol

Hopefully he will get the hang of it.  I just have a feeling he is one of those dogs that need some sort of drug to stabilize his hyperness.  He acts like a new "pup" he is clumsy but sweet to all he knows, but really apprentsive to strangers.  He is banned from Pet Adoption days too!  He did not like that!!!  He is extreamly protective of all that he knows.  Just can not figure out yet that he needs to pee-pee outside ONLY!!!!  I hope he gets adopted soon, there is a huge waiting list !!!

Sam has made his welcome come to a screaching hult at my neighbors.  It is sad, and I feel like a total FAILURE!!!  Pet Haven is looking into another rescue that may have a home for Sam, or somewhere that this poor guy may get the help he needs.  His continuess Peeing, Sam is being brought in tomorrow by my neighbor who is fostering Sam, to find out if he has sort of Med. Problum.  He had Blood Work done already, but they will do another round of tests on him to find out if he has a bladder infection, or anything they can detect through his urine.  I also will be bringing him in for yet another Mitaban dip on the 23 of Nov.  Which is my baby girl Chelseys bday!!!

Holly is doing well !!!  YEAH!!!!!  She is such a cutie!  I told Steve to bring over his camera so we can take some really good ones !!!  I bought Holly some new cloths!!!!!   I want to find her a one piece PJamas soon.  anyways, nice to see you agtain Dusty!

I am having a similar problem with Manson. My best friend and her children and her dog are staying here, and Manson now pees EVERYWHERE! It is so obnoxious. I did get a "diaper" for him, and I use it if I can't have him right with me. But I think this is kind of a band aid solution...

What I am trying now is to keep him with me on a leash in the house. He doesn't even TRY to pee on anything then. Mind you , his peeing is territorial, having nothing whatsoever to do with actually needing to urinate..... And, per someone's suggestion (sorry, don't remember whose) I am not letting him "mark" things when we are outside. I will put him on a tie-out and watch from the window, making sure he has urinated, and then do the walk. On the walk, I do not allow marking stuff, such as bushes, signs, fire hydrants, mailboxes, etc. I am hoping to teach him not to mark things. Hopefully this will work for me and for you if you should decide to give it a shot.
