Update on Chi-Ching and Cinder!

We took Chingy in to get neutered today and Cinder in to get her tooth pulled.
Well, puppy has Tape worms! (ICK) and we are getting medicine sent home for both him and Koda. (Just in case) The vet said it can happem by them eating even ONE flea! I know my dogs don't have fleas but he said that if they are outside, one can easily get on them and all they have to do is eat ONE. (Yuck! I am so grossed out!)
This is going to be quite a spendy bill, we opted to have a full blood screening done prior to his neutering as well as getting him some pain medicine when he comes home. He is also getting full vaccinated again and we are getting the wormer for both dogs. Add in an office visit and we are looking at probably $200-$300. I suppose this is just Chi-Ching living up to his name! LOL
The vets said that they only use the (can't remember the name) of anesthesia that I was told about on here, he said that they don't use any other kind unless it is specifically requested, he said it was the kind that people use when they are in surgery.
I trust my vets COMPLETELY and I am not real worried about them pulling through or anything going wrong. The vet did give Chingy a sedative while I was there because he was kind of being a snot and was growltalking and woofing little woofs at the vet. He is still very cautious around ANYONE new. The vet said he would do better if they gave him a sedative instead of trying to force him to do anything.
I call in about 1-2 hours to see how he and Cinder are doing and then we can pick them up between 5:00-7:00 tonight.
Cinder was great for the vet and she just let him check her over and said that he was going to pull the obvious tooth that was poking into the roof of her mouth but was going to leave the other tooth because it would help keep her jaw stronger. She was just all sweet and lovey. She loves the vet!

Yeah, vets are expensive but it sounds like your babies are getting great care.

Yeah, we have some expensive vets but I know that we get EVERYTHING we pay for! We have tried saving money by going to other vets and NEVER will again. I LOVE my vets and know that it is worth every dime.
We have no problem spending the money one the vets, we had just planned on it being less, but then when we got there we decided on all the blood work($60) and pain meds($25) The office visit is $65, I am not sure what the neuter costs, but then there is the vaccines which are $65-$75(including worming). It is spendy but soooo worth it.

Poor Chi-Ching...LOL!!! He probably could have done without the pain meds. I know when Oscar was neutered he was pretty much back to normal by the time we brought him home...it was hard to keep him still. Our lab was the same way. And I hope Cinder is all better too.

I had the same problem with worms and final what I did was there is a spray that you can spray your yard with to get rid of the fleas in your yard. It worked for me it might work for you. Spraying the yard plus getting the dogs flea baths and flea medicine should help out alot.
