Road laws?

Does anyone here know what their state laws say about radar detecters?

Funny you should ask that, on my way to my aunts, as I crossed the MD/VA border (going into Virginia) I noticed a sign that said radar devices are illegal

Pd I don't know where you live but illegal in very few places. Virgina, Washington D.C and all military bases, them are places where they are illeagal. Jammers, they block the laser from the radar gun, are illegal in quite a few more places.

It just in certian towns. At least thats what they have told us. The cops said that if they catch one on a car then we could get a $250 fine. But cops don't really care about this. Also theres another law that says that if you have a fancy linces plate thing and it covers up part of the word Texas on the licence plate then you can get a $250 fine. LOL

They are illegal here, but almost everyone has one. They usually don't give you a ticket unless they are looking for a reason to pull you over. We don't take ours out unless we are going on a road trip.

What freaks me, In California, are the photo taking, ticket lights.
Boy, if you are not paying attention, you are in jail [or some other dang thing]...

We have those cam lights. But here they are easy to spot out, they have flashing lights on the bottom of them at all times. You always know when your comming up on one! LOL You'd think they would try and hide it a little more.
