I think that is a really good idea! I have heard of horses being shot when people thought they were deer, now I have never had a problem discernng the two but hey that is just me! LOL

I had heard of it too.
I guess you just want a deer so bad, and when the wrong thing moves...that, or the proverbial drunken hunter scenario...
I'm too intimidated by guns to handle one after drinking, but then I don't drive that way either, and people do...

My grandfather has done that for years. Our horses when I was younger had orange jackets they wore when they weren't in the barn. Our dogs even had orange jackets and collars during hunting season. My uncles Boxer was shot and that is what started it all. She wasn't killed and the hunter relized he had shot a dog and brought her up to the farm and he also payed all vet bills.

i saw that on another site. i think he is a very smart man who is concerned about the safety of his animals. clever man !
