We're not keeping the JRT's......

One is fun, two is wild and three is just plain nuts.......lol  Keena and sparky are driving us nuts.  Chewing on everything, into everything, barking, digging and any thing else you can think of.  Keena is about twice as hyper than a normal JRT!  She is the energizer bunny.........lol  Anyway, we are looking for good homes for them.  I think we are getting a Shiba instead.  We will see i guess.

I have a neighbor who has 3 of them. They are the cutest dogs, but they are a handful. They dig out ALL the time. The kids rescue them when they can. However, sometimes they run out of the neighborhood before anyone can get them! Once they found one of them about 3 miles away. It is amazing that they don't get hit by a car!

Good luck finding new homes!

Wow! I'm sorry you're having so many problems with them. Have they had any kind of obedience training? If not, could you maybe try a course at PetsMart first, see if it helps? I have heard that that breed can be quite the handful. There is one at a petshop by us that has been there for so long that they are only asking $50 for him now. They are family owned, so they mainly sell supplies and sometimes take in puppies from unwanted litters, so they are not a 'puppymill' type of petstore. The actually hardly ever have pets in there. But they paid $250 for him from the breeder and originally were asking $300. Poor guy, I feel so bad for him. He is quite rambunctious himself, but I thought maybe it was being coped in a petshop all the time. I guess they are all pretty hyper?

We found great homes for them already.  We put an ad in the paper and people called right away.  I am happy for them.  Keena is a present for a guys girlfriend.  They have one other dog and no kids.  Sparky went as a present to someones parents that recently lost their JRT.  They are retired and home all the time.  We just didn't click with them like we hoped.  But.....we did at least fatten them up, dewormed them and got them healthy for good homes.

Hunter- I am surprised that pup hasn't sold yet.  They sell like crazy here.  He would have been gone at $300.00 instantly.  Poor baby, i hope someone gets him.

Me too Oasis. Hubby keeps saying that if he is still there when we get back from vacation that he's going to get him, even it's just to find a home for him because it's so sad how long he has been there

Yeah, i have had sooooooo many calls still on these two.....hehe.  That would be a good idea to adopt him and try finding him a home.  Unless you fall in love with him and keep him   One is fine.  I have a 10 year old one that i have had for 9 years.  He has always been a great dog.  JRT's arn't usually as hyper if they are an only dog or with other dogs that arn't JRT's.  Let us know if you do get him.
