I want to cry

I really want to cry. 1 of my good freinds dogs was at the vets for nemona(sp). The dog is 14 years old and my freind has had him since he was in the 4th grade. Hes dog was so sweet and what makes this worse is my freinds birthday is on Jan. 3. The vet just called him not 2 long ago and told him and his parents that his dog isn't going to make it. I'm going over to his house later to be with him but i wish i could do more.

I am so sorry for your friend!  It is always hard when we lose one of our furpals especially when they have been such a loyal companion for so many years.  And you are a very good friend too to be there for him at this sad time.  Your friend is in my thoughts & you as well as it is quite evident how much you care for both your friend and his furpal.

Was it an old dog?
That's so sad. I have had some best friends that were dogs, too.
Does he have other dogs?

Kitty his dog was 14 years old and it was his only dog in a way. He has another dog living with him but thats his step moms dog.

Puttin they said that medicine wouldn't work because he was so old he was already having trouble. His father and step mom told him they were planning on putting him down in 2 months.

Whats hurting my freind the most is planning on putting him down in 2 months is one think he knows when hes going but this just out of the blue came up. It also hurts him alot because my freinds borthday is so close. But it is official today at 1:30 (texas time) his dog was put down.
