We changed our plan after we got there. We picked out 10 dogs and lowered their adoption fee by $25 each and then we picked out 9 cats and a bunny and lowered all of their fees by $20 each. It was fun. I feel so bad for them. There is a dog at our shelter that is in DESPERATE need of a home. He is a pit mix(possibly shepard) and he has been in the shelter for over a YEAR AND A HALF!!! Poor boy was still a pup when he came in, I think around 6 months to a year. If anyone knows of ANYTHING that may help, PLEASE let me know!! Thanks!! Can you post this on tp? I can't remember if that is legal there or not. It should be. I can't believe that a pet forum would not help you adopt a poor animal out! Maybe you could email the mod and ask for this favor.

Jawlaw,
I live in Washington. He is a fairly hyper dog(can't imagine why since he has been in a shelter most of his life!) but people usually do not let him run off his pent up energy before seeing what he is really like. He is actually a pretty mellow dog after he runs for a while. I am sure in a home he would relax and be an Awesome dog.

I saw that dog today but we went through and tried to pick dogs that were "less" cute. LOL, basically we tried to help the harder to adopt dogs. My 4 fav dogs were Jake, the pitbull. What a TOTAL sweet heart and SUPER mellow. Boston, the pit X, I have known him for a long time and he is a complete doll. Page, the Chow X, that is the dog that we had tried to adopt and went through our "saga" with the shelter over her. We have a safety net on her, so basically, we get a choice in taking her before she is euthanized. And Snow Paws, the pit X, well, he is just a total package type of dog. You can't help but fall in love with him.

I didn't think that Cowboy was one of the dogs you picked.  He's cute and young, so he has a much better chance of being adopted than a number of the other dogs there.  I just put up the link because I found him to be adorable.

That dog would get a home quick in our rescue. Wish I could help somehow.
