Tuna Chaser is at his final resting place

It was very nice, his family was all very friendly. Brother and dad were easy to spot, as they look alot alike. I had not gone to a  out to sea burial before.  I was worried about motion sickness, it had been awhile since I was on a boat. I purposely did not eat or drink anything just incase I ended up sea sick or was lacking a restroom.  They could not have picked a better place to sprinkle his ashes. The ocean looked so beautiful with the sun glistening on it making it sparkle like a diamond. He had one of his St. Bernards ashes put there also years before. His father read some really nice poems that Jeff had written himself.  They were very good and his family will be able to cherish those forever.  It was hard for me to go but I wanted to pay my repsects to a sweet guy. I knew no one there, thats what was hard. Lisa was very sweet. I saw her and thought that might be her. Then someone said something to her and she spoke, then I knew it was her because I had spoke to her on the phone.  His dad, brother and friends all threw a line out to the ocean on a fishing pole.  I think like fishing with Jeff.

We all threw out flowers over the area his ashes were put down in.

They passed the ashes around for everyone to have their final say, and I honestly said Tuna Chaser, Jeff we are all going to miss you and won't forget you. It was just a little chat between he and I.

God Bless you Jeff Seigel, AKA Tuna Chaser.

That was a wonderful tribute to Jeff. I'm sure he was next to his Dad, Brother, and friends with his fishing line in the water as well.

I know I just saw Jeffs nephew skating down the street.  Next time, I will run out just to say hi. LOL

Puttin, I'm so glad you were able to go and pay your respects to Jeff. Your thread was also very well written and brought tears to my eyes. I will miss his lighthearted threads. I keep expecting to see another post from him and it saddens me when I realize why there isn't one. My thoughts will be with his family and I wish them all my sympathy.

Rest peacefully Jeff!
