Well I just went from 8 animals to 11!! Yup thats right 3 more animal to add to my zoo! My brother in law had 3 hamsters that his wife just HAD to have after seeing mine. Well she's had them for about 2 weeks and now she can't stand them. SO, he called me about 6PM to see if I would take them, so I did. Now I have 4 hamsters all together. He had 2 males and a female all in the same cage. So needless to say I should be expecting babies sometime soon. I'll be getting another cage here soon and split them all up. I know my male is iffy with other hamsters seems he's been alone for sometime. So I may keep him alone and just give the other 2 males a new cage and keep the female in the one she's in now alone and if she has babies she can keep them in their til I can sex them and keep them apart.
Lol Stormy! Well..if anyone can take care of them, you can! :) I had a hamster when I was a kid. She was a lot of fun. Never bit or anything, and loved her little ball that she ran around the house in :)

LOL I had hamsters when I was younger and needless to say I will NEVER get one again.. I am scared to death of them.. There were three of them and they were all in the same cage.. Needless to say shawn became shawna and we had a cadge full of babies... Well when the babies were old enough we sent them on there way and were going to tempt putting the girl back in the cage with the others because she looked lonely.. Well seh wasnt going for them and went crazy.... I went to get her out and she got my fingure a good one and wouldnt let go..... I was throwing my hand around and everything finally I got her to let go and I havent touched one since.. LOL
Stormy! Important thing, check the babies as soon as you can and SEPERATE them. Hamsters can start mating as early as 3-6 weeks!! Optimal age for mating a female is 3-4 MONTHS old! They need to be seperated EARLY!! I had a hamster named Emily when I was about 14 and two weeks after we got her.......she had 17 babies!!!!! Luckily the pet store took back most of them but I had to find homes for alot myself. I am sticking with ONE hamster, if I get one again! LOL (Of course, Dudley ended up costing me over $300 in medical bills, I seem to have this nitch in getting these expensive pets! lol So hubby might not let me get another hamster! LOL)
Trust me as soon as I can tell the sexes they are NOT going to be in the same cages. There is no way I am having more hamters. I have too many now! LOL
