Started hurting really bad Sunday morning just after midnight. Nothing I did...sitting, standing, crouching....made it any better. I was trying to tough it out until Monday when I was to see my OB/GYN again. About 2AM I just couldn't take it anymore so JT took me to the ER.
They did an untrasound and all of the "clogging" they had seen on Friday was gone. They said my body had probably absorbed it. The ER doc was gonna give me pain meds and send me home. I said NO....something is wrong. They did a blood test again and my HCG count had went up. It was 25,000 on Friday and should have been around 45,000 by then......but it was only 27,000 so they knew there was a pregnancy somewhere.....and that things weren't right.
Anyway, they admitted me and my OB/GYN came in yesterday and said he had to do surgery to find whatever it was that was wrong. Ultrasounds didn't show anything but he said that something had to be in there....whether it be a pregnancy, a piece of the placenta from an incomplete miscarriage, or inflammation.
I went into surgery at 5PM yesterday. It turns out that there was an ectopic pregnancy that was growing in my ovary. It had ruptured and I had about a liter of blood and clots in me where I had been bleeding internally. He removed the pregnancy, one of my ovaries and one of my fallopian tubes. The other fallopian tube was cut while he was in there as I had been wanting a tubal anyway.
I just got home a little bit ago and wanted to give an update. I'm not in serious pain of anything.....I'm just SO glad all this is over now. I feel so much better.
After reading some of the posts.....you'd think these ER visits are contagious around here...lol. Oh well.....maybe we'll all be in tip top shape....just in time for spring!!!!
I'm glad the mystery has been solved and that you're going to be okay, and I agree with Denise about standing up to the ER doctor. Heal well. Feel better.

Wow. Get better, now. That kennel owner friend of mine said her employee was in some serious pain, too. Does sound like you did a bit of spring cleaning with your innards there. I think a couple weeks of talking to your buddies on the furum here will be great for your rest and recovery Be well, sorry your week is going so wild on you.
Oh my goodness Ansy! What an ordeal! I'm so glad you went with your gut. Women have the best intuition I swear! Recover quickly, and I'm glad everything worked out and that you're not in pain anymore
