$600 dollars??

"Cody's adoption fee is $600 to help pay for my $300 license as required by the state of Colorado."

I don't get this statement form the person. For her license. Personally I think 600 is very steep unless the dog needs surgery before hegoes which doesn't seem to be the case. I know her in the Great Dane rescue for a pure bred puppy its only 300. And did I mention pure bred pup...

I think thats crazy, if she wanted to become a resuce she should have thought about the money involved FIRST. People looking to adopt a dog aren't going to spend 600 for one when they can go to a breeder and buy one for the same price. There are funds she can recive from the state to help her with her "flooring" and such if thats really what the money is going towards.

Exactly my thoughts as well. Plus, the whole situation bothers me because this 'rescue' has been around for years. I don't get why she needs all that license stuff now when she has been doing it for so long. Seems like she has fallen on hard times and is using the fact that this is a popular dog to have right now as an excuse to get more money. Cute dog though!
