I mentioned that i was getting a new puppy right?  Well, the lady that i would get her from co-owns her right now with another lady.  Both ladies are friends with my mother.  Well today, my mom was at her grooming shop with the two ladies and she heard them arguing about the puppy.  She asked what was up and found out that one of the ladies heard rumors about me and didn't want me to get the puppy but the other lady was sure the rumors were a lie.  See, about 10 years ago when we were still in Colorado, my mom's best friend who breeds Keshunds gave us a keshund puppy for free because she said he was pet quality.  We loved him and spoiled him but he was a lot to groom so i took him into my mom's shop so she could teach me how to groom him right.  While i was there, my mom's friend (that gave him to us) was there and said he was looking so beautiful and that she wished she would have kept him for show.  Brad and i discussed it and agreed that she should take him back because she could bring him to his potential where we didn't have the time, money or knowledge to do it.  She was really happy and today he is one of the top dogs in the world!  He's been on TV a lot.  We had only had him for less then 2 months.  Well, my mom just found out that her friend that owns him has been telling people that Brad and i abused and neglected him and that he was starved and near death when she confiscated him from us.  This lady that co-owns the shiba puppy heard this and thinks we are bad dog people.  My mom was livid!  This so-called best friend of her's was also saying really bad things about my mom's dogs.  So, i am not sure if the one lady and my mom can convince the other lady that it was all lies but she seems to be understanding it now.  If not, the lady that knows it's a lie said she will just give us one of her puppies when they are born.  What a terrible thing to do huh?  I feel worse for my mom because this person was her best friend for 15 years!
