Has anyone ever used this stuff called Dream Coat for your dogs? Its a bunch of differnt oils that helps the coat get shiny and healthy and helps the skin and immunity system. You put a couple tsp in their food.
I just got some yesterday, i hear it works well, but just curious if anyone here has used it and if you liked it. I tried using Missing Link before but it was just to expensive and i didnt see a real change.
Syd got mange a while back, from a weakened immunity, I thought this could be good for Syd, hopefully she wont get mange agian, but lately i have been getting a little worried that she might be getting it agian. Also all their coats have been looking a little dull lately, so im hoping the DreamCoat will help with that.
Also does anyone know of some alternative to buying these supplements? I heard something about olive oil in their food is suppose to be good for skin and coat too, and i can get that cheaper at the market then i can get the Dream Coat, but i dont know how well it works. With 5 dogs i have to find something i can afford. Im going to see how long this bottle of Dream Coat lasts, if it last a while then i will keep using it, otherwise i need to get something else, less expensive.
What kind of supplements do your dogs get if they get any?
Dream Coat is what I give Zoe. Somebody at the store I buy their food from recommended it. It has lots of essential vitamins in it and it's the only thing that keeps Zoe from eating all of the wood and paper she can find. She was constantly eating wood and paper, she would seek it out. The lady told me to try it. She hasn't chewed paper or chair legs since. She also hasn't brought in sticks from outside to chew on anymore.
As far as her coat goes, I don't notice a difference.

I've never heard of dream coat, but it sounds like it would work really well :) I use linatone for Ella. It comes in a bottle and looks like syrup and you put some over their food each day. It has omega fats and vitamins in it that help their coat. Ella used to shed like crazy and now she doesn't at all because of that stuff. I had to use it for like 3 weeks before I started seeing results though. Also, someone told me about flax seed oil once and that helps the coat a lot too. Another thing I use is this oatmeal bath shampoo because it's suppose to really help dry skin.
Does anyone in your family hunt? I know it sounds weird, but if you have an venison (deer meat) feed it to your doggies every once in awhile. My stepdad hunts and he used to give that to his hunting dogs and I swear it just makes their coat shine! I don't know why.
