My mother had a kitty named George. Well, yesterday he was outside and decided to get in the backyard with Baxter(Boxer) and Cookie(Pit). He has never gone in the backyard before. Baxter and Cookie killed him...we don't know who did most of teh work. I pray he went fast....He was almost a year old.
My mom is so upset. Baxter and Cookie kill any breathing thing that gets in their yard. This is the second cat...one was a neighbors. They have killed skunks and opposoms(sp) too. My mom now is actually worried about her Boston Terrier and Chi. They go out in the front yard only..country living for ya. Sorry this sounds so rambled. She is thinking about getting rid of the dogs but I told her that they are being dogs. We have actually never seen them in the process of killing the cats but they might just be playing rough. Baxter used to share his doghouse with a kitty.
our grey cat got out the other day, and we found him in the yard next door at the very top of their tree. I think my dog daisy ran him over the fence, and the dogs next door a pit and a mastiff treed him. We are so luck he didn't die. Daisy kills things that run, she has a high prey drive. She has started leaving the squrials (sp) alone. The other dogs run them off while she is trying to sneak up on them.
