What IS Merlin?

We're pretty sure he's got some german shepherd going on.. But I'm not thinking pure GSD.. What do you think?
He belongs to my friends. A rescue had pulled him from a kill shelter on his last day.

Maybe Malinois shepard mix. perhaps yellow lab thrown in. The Mals have the black face.

I don't see any German Shepherd in him.  Looks prominantly like a lab to me with perhaps some Boxer thrown in (shorter nose).


If his ears didn't stand, he would look just like Ivan in the face.  Ivan is half boxer/half lab from what we were told.  The only resemblence he shows to the boxer though is the use of his paws and massive strength.  I can definetely see a resemblance between Merlin and Ivan.

He looks pretty stout. But I do see lab...but then a lot of mixes you see lad in them. He is cute none the less....and lucky.

That's a tough one. I would think Shepherd from the ears, but he's so light in color. And he has the Shepherd tail as well. I don't really see lab though. I dunno, Anatolian/Akita mix? or Anatolian/Shepherd mix?

I think Jindo/GSD or Jindo/Anatolian Could have lab in either mix but he looks very Jindo to me.
