Momma went into labor this morning and had her first kitten at 6:40, she had her fourth at 7:40, i think she had a fifth but im not sure cause I cant really see into the nesting box. I'll post pics as soon as I can. I dont know if she is done yet though. Yay!!!
wow Sidney... Congrats.. Out of all my cats litters the most either of them had were 5 or 6.. I cant remember exactly.. Congrats cant wait to see some pics...
Geeze, she must of gotten knocked up by quite a few tom cats. LOL Thats alot of babies. No wonder she was huge. So do they look like five different daddys?
Ok the final count is 7, I must have counted someone's butt thinking it was a head...lol....babies and mom are doing good, I gotta pick up a scale today so I can weight them since there are so many, I gotta make sure they are all getting enough to eat. I had to change the bedding and I was so nervouse cause I didnt know how to get mom out so I could take the babies out, I was also not sure how mom would react to me touching the babies, but I had to change the bedding. I brought out some wet food and mom didnt care about what I was doing.lol...poor Momma is so hungry.
I've tried taking pictures but since i cant use a flash you cant see anything. All the babies have cool markings, spots and stripes, and there are some real neat colors.One looks alsmost silver with lots of spots(the biggest and 1st born), and a couple have Romeos dark red coloring with spots.
I have to work all day today and I dont want to leave Momma but I have no choice. I am taking the father in to work today to get neutered, finally! I've been wanting to get him neutered but my boyfriend didnt want to do it till she had her babies. I am a little nervous though cause someone told me that Bengals could have a problem with anthestisia(sp), I hope it all goes well. I cant wait till Romeo can wonder around our house like a normal cat.
Then once the babies are old enough Momma is getting spayed, this is her fourth litter and last, I dont want her having anymore babies.
