I knew that forum was a waste of time and a joke from when I first went there. I've heard so many negative things about it. For whatever reason, they banned me. I guess bcause I didn't feel like another poster should be humiliated on a discussion board.
Jawlaw, are you a mod over there too? I'm sorry if I broke any rules, but I honestly don't know what it would have been. Anyway, I just hope they all are proud of themselves for keeping a private issue public.
I noticed that. I asked them why. I think it is because you mentioned this forum. They hate this forum. I wish they would warn people before they ban them, but that is how some of the mods are over there. No, I am not a mod over there. They hate me. We might have to delete this post. We use to have a rule here that we could not discuss TP. I've been gone so long...not sure if that applies anymore.
I'm sure they didn't ban you for saying this forum name. I will not go into details but I can prolly tell you why. If needed i'll write you a PM, I do NOT want to add to someones agnoy.
Get everyone to post on this forum, silly. This forum is not just newbies, trolls, and stories about diareah and worms and fleas... We all have FULL lives that include, but don't [in a sick way] revolve around only our pets. We can always use the company, and feedback here. Oh, and we do love pets, here...it is the FUR-um. That is a lie. No one asked me anything, especially repeatedly. I read every post on that topic last night and not once did anyone mention that. I read the rules. It said no website promotion. I was not promoting anything. I didn't even post a link. Just mentioned a name. Are they THAT paranoid over there?
Rebel - in all fairness, if you are not use to how they do things over there, you may not know what you were doing wrong. There was never a post to her warning her. They just took the words out and edited it which is in very small letters. I knew what they were doing, because I am very familiar with them over there. Skellington was new and did not realize she was doing something wrong. As usual, they were "ban" happy and just used their might powers.
She may have said it 2 times and she is right. There was no link whatsoever. She didn't even say the full name of the forum.
Too weird over there for me. I never resigned up after the initial ban. I look at the topics once in a while....sick, boring and pointlessly dramatic...Doggie version of Jerry Springer.
I was never banned i just quit going there. I think it's probebly fine to post about it, as long as it stays civil. It has been so long since that place has been brought up that i don't think we give it a second thought. We will see i guess.
Personally I have no problems over there. Since the big forum wars died down a CM got booted I have had no problem. I am sorry Skellington did not go back and look at his posts see what he did wrong before being banned. I can see their point on the name not even being metioned. Just with the name Furm being out there its not hard to find this place just by that one word. Just by typing in that word you get to the chat page from there it is just following the bouncing ball. And in their eyes that is website promotion.
The banning seems to be the result of a mix-up. When the TP mods edit a post, they make a note about it at the bottom of that post. I guess most people usually re-read their posts because that system usually works fine. But if you didn't look at your posts again, you would've missed the notes and not realized you were breaking the rules, so I can see why the banning seemed to come out of nowhere.
On TP, nobody is allowed to mention another general pet forum by name, even if you don't post a link. Pyrmom has a forum of her own, and she doesn't let the members there refer to it by name either. Other forums should simply be called "another forum."
Pyrmom isn't malicious, and in the past, she has shown that she understands mistakes happen, so if you want to be a member of TP, I doubt you'll have a problem getting unbanned. You can send admin a note explaining what happened or just sign up under another name. As long as you don't again refer to this forum (or any general pet forum) by name, everything should be fine.
Of course, if you don't want to be a member there and just want to hang out here, that's cool with us.
