Napster has been walking on her leg for about 2 weeks now. The first time we seen her use it we we're about to flip out with happiness. She limped on it for a few days but now she is unsing it just like it was never shot. She still limps a little when she walks slow, but if she is playing or running...you can never even tell she was hurt.
I am so thankful for this because I cried so many tears knowing she would never have a normal life again. We even considered amputation it was so bad when she was shot, but the vet said for us to wait and see what happens and I'm so glad we took his advice. Little Napper is whole again (almost...lol) and its just a miracle to see her playing again. When I saw those x-rays and the hole in her leg and chest.....I knew she'd never be able to be a "cat" again.....boy was I wrong!
Fatty and Smeagol (the new kitten from JT's brother) have become best buds. Smeagol has calmed down SOME, but now when he goes into tasmanien devil mode....Fatty is doing it right there with him so its double destruction...lol. Napster can't stand either one of them....so we know she is feeling normal because she can't stand anything that breathes....except me of course. I think Smeagol is going to work out afterall. Fatty has always tormented Napster because he likes to play and she doesn't (she is a Queen and Queen's don't play ), but now with Smeagol here...Fatty is like a little kitten again.
Molly our Great Pyr will be getting spayed next week. That dog is enormous! She is like a big polar bear running through the field. She doesn't run like any other dog...she leaps and moves like a bear...lol. She is by far the sweetest dog we've ever had, and is very protective. When she barks or growls it sounds like some sort of monster if after you...lol. She doesn't aggrivate any of the animals or the kids....just a big old furball and we love her to death. I'll be a lot less stressed after she is spayed...lol.
Ivan had us worried a few weeks back. We noticed him have a sudden drop in weight. He is regularly wormed so we knew it wasn't that so we began paying closer attention at meal time. Instead of eating his food, he was burying it! We changed foods to see if it was because he didn't like it and he did the same thing. We started feeding him side by side with Bo and he started eating again. I don't know what was going on with him. It's been really hot here and they don't eat as much when it gets hot but I've never seen them lose weight over it. He has put the weight back on now though and is doing great. I think he's just mental...lol.
Bo has been placed on the waiting list for Border Collie training. It is a year waiting list, but that will make him the right age for when the man likes to take them in. We are so excited about getting him trained so he can herd the goats.
Speaking of goats.....WE HAVE BABIES!!! Lippy gave birth about 2 weeks ago and it was a premie that was still born - a little boy that looked just like her. A week later Sadie had a little girl! It looks just like her mama - white body, red head. Then last week....Mama Goat had a HUGE little boy and it looks just like Tuff!!! It's Mahogany brown just like his dad and has little white sock feet. It's just darling. I have to get pics of them up so ya'll can see.
We sold Lady our black fainter and we lost Red due to tetanus. Blue is about to pop. We're hoping she will have twins. She wasn't due until mid August because I seen Zeus breed her.....but now Im thinking she was already bred when we bought her (the males will still try to breed a bred female). If this is the case then she may have been bred by a blue male which would be awesome! More chance of a blue baby!
Thats an update on the animals...lol. I'm still moving at a snails pace on the website, but have some good things coming soon. Dang this turned out ot be long...lol
