Thought I would update you all on what has been happening in our lives lately.
Chi-Ching is now 11 months old and weighs around 45 pounds. He is going on his first camping trip next week. He LOVES the motorhome and he LOVES water. I will post pictures after we are back. Tomorrow, he graduates Agility. So far, he has been through Beginners, Advanced and Agility. In August, he starts in Petsmart Training(Intermediate). We have been using a training club but while they seem great for obedience, they are located in a warehouse type building and there is not alot of new people in there. So we decided to take Chi-Ching to Petsmart for socialization more then anything. The trainer is GREAT and knows his past and said she loves chows and has no problem working with him. ALSO, the groomers there said they would like him to come in each week and spen just a few minutes in there and get used to it. They are ALL willing to help him. He has come a LONG way but he still has a long way to go. He is learning "off leash" work and can now just hang outside with us without taking off. He still barks at people if he is in the fenced yard but ignores them if he is not. He is letting strangers pet him though. Most people have to wait about 2-3 minutes before you actually get to really pet him but it is getting better every single day.
Tiocy is still here, she is feeling better again. Acting younger then ever. She has no idea that anything is wrong so we try not to coddle her any more then normal - okay, well , maybe a LITTLE more then normal. Asha, Bounder and Ariel are all doing well. They have all discovered that grasshoppers are alot of fun!! Nothing like a pile of half eaten grasshoppers laying front of your door to make you feel loved, eh??
Well, that is how the animals are doing. We are doing well too. Just thought it was time for an update.
Always good to hear from you. Extreme pleasure to view your photos. My local Sav-On, now CVS, has been screwed up on the photo dept. this week, so I have nada. I want a camara like Heff had, soon. I came home to an exploded dog in her crate, tonight. The weather shifted, and the stools loosened up. Everyone did OK but one, that pup needs a bath, and the crate a bleaching, before I can do for myself. I bought a pizza, Canadian Bacon, bell pepper, and onion, so I am good- once the initial clean-up is done.
Geeze seems like Chingy should be 2 by now. LOL Lilly turns 2 next month. I can't believe how time has flown. My poor Sasha is showing her age. She does not like to jump up on her stool to get on my bed. Sad, god only knows how long her time will be. Could be a few years or not. I don't know.
Rufus is is silly, timid, outrageous, sensitive little self. I have been so busy with work, caring for my dogs, finally rehomed Teddy our foster. Now I feel like I can relax just a little. Still volenteering with our local Rescue, AnimalsRule.
It has been stinkin hot. But like Kitty said yesterday seemed to be a bit cooler. Right now, I think I am going to be turning off my fans and see what happens. I was just feeling my arm and realized I don't feel sticky icky from the heat. Nice and smooth yay. LOL
Kitty, I never knew a dog could get its system in an uproar from a weather change.
Actually, it's almost cold, today Not only dogs, but I, and several friends all got tourista last time the weather did this. Has to do with how much water is in your system, maybe.
On our coast it is chilly. I turned our fans off and No sweat. I went to pick up my son from the DMV, he just got his permit. It is warmer in town inland, but much more tolerable than the last couple weeks.
Gives you something to look forward to, doesn't it? J/K... Actually, nobody got actual full blown diarhea, here. Just loose stools in some of them. Could just be the way I'm feeding them, or too many feet in the water bucket. I dump it out at least once a day, but the pup that just went to her new home today, was a busy little girl at digging in that bucket and making a big mess.
aren't messey cages/crates so much fun to clean up? I do it daily at the clinic so I understand how ya feel, Kitty. :) I came into work one morning to find a dog run covered in crap all up the walls and floor and plus, the dog had died in there through the night. We don't know how she passed on but she was an emergency case a few days before. Before I think I've seen it all, I get suprised. Finding that doesn't bother me, or helping with euthanasias doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would.
