I am in love

Ok...this ain't about JT...lol (By the way, he and I are doing fine.  Just taking it one day at a time.  He is coming over for dinner tonight).

Anyway......I was looking through the paper and saw some ads for something called a Maine Coon Cat.  They were like $300.  I thought....dang....what kind of a cat costs that much??  SO I Googled the name and WOW.  I have to have one of these cats!!!!!  They are enormous!!

Has anyone ever had one before?  They are just beautiful!!!  I think it would put Napster into heart failure if I brought in another inside pet (she is the only inside pet now) so I may have to consult with her first....lol.

Speaking of Napster, you can't even tell she was shot now.  She walks around like nothing ever happened.  It's so amazing.  And too, some of you may remember that she had this behavioral disorder which caused her to lick all her hair out.  She had to have steroid shots a few times a year.....well.....since she got shot all of that has disappeared.  She has grown all her hair back and has put on a few pounds.  She use to weigh about 6 lbs.....now she weighs about 9.  She actually has chubby jiggles when she walks....lol  This is the healthiest I have ever seen her.  Kind of ironice that it took a bullett to make her right.

I've had several Maine Coons. They are great cats. My hubby hated Cats until he met Big Boy, he was the sweetest thing. He would just lay in your lap and want loving all the time. I think I have some pics of him but i'll have to dig them up, they are of him eating out of a dog food bag, he hardly ever eat cat food he was a dog food lover!

I wanna see the big cat in the dog food bag pic

Ansy, that cat lost one of it's nine lives, prolly the one causing all the problems. Either that, or he died, and was possessed by a wandering spirit. Let us know if he starts playing the piano and smoking cigars

That's great that Napster is doing so well!

Maine Coons are one of the greatest cat breeds!  I had one for many years and if I ever had the opportunity I'd have another in a heartbeat!

We had a Maine Coon. She was actually a stray. They are sooo sweet. The act like a dog. They are the kind of breed that even people who hate cats would love them.

The people that had the giant Sibe that attacked rufus a few years ago, had Maine coons. They used to breed them.  They had them shave down in a reverse poodle trim sort of. Cool looking cats.

My cat tigger is half mancoon.

The grey cat is tigger. He is huge. The full blood ones can get as big as a dog thats inbetween a small and medium dog.

Heres a pic of 1 of tiggers favorite sleeping places and yes that is a giant pot hes sleeping in.

You found one for $300?!?!?!   WOW  Hubby and I have been semi keeping our eyes our for a pure, and most that we see are anywhere from $400 to thousands of dollars.  We were going to get one as our first cat (we thought it'd be funny to have a cat bigger than our dogs)  but went into a shelter and I fell in love with Mama and Zion. I think they'd flip if I brought another cat in, though the maine coon is the next on our list of pets to have.  They are gorgeous and have beautiful colors.  One place we were looking at (just to get ideas of pricing and colors and what-not) was Verismo cats.
