So we recently got new neighbors. They have been quite but they seem to be in the habit of giving the dogs things to chew on or play with. We were out of town Easter weekend and when we got home Murphy had something in his mouth, turns out it was half a deer leg. Can we say gross???? Well then today we went out to the backyard and there was a tenis ball out there. I never give the boys those because they are too small. Brad said next time he see the neighbors he is going to tell them to stop giving stuff to the dogs but we have yet to see them. Hoepfully it won't make them mad...wish us luck.
Makes sense, but it sure would be nice if he can maybe introduce them to the dogs in a friendly way first, since they obviously LIKE the dogs, and then maybe say something about how he noticed the tennis balls, but we don't give them tennis balls because, blah blah, and maybe tell them something that they CAN give them? Not trying to tell ya what to do, but it IS a blessing when your neighbors like your dogs instead of being afraid of them.
Well we talked to them and they deby giving them anything. Which I think they are lying because it has never happend before and their first weekend next door the dogs get thrown crap. But they said they were gonna put up a privacy fence because their dogs are scared of mine and they refuse to go in the yard to even pee. LOL.....Anyways the new people seem like they might be druggies in my opinion. Man I can not wait until that fence get puts up.
The elderly neighbors next door have a daughter and her hubby that visit them often. They barbequed alot in the summer and he was always feeding Harley stuff over the fence. I didnt mind because they are dog people and own labs, so he knew what to give him and what not to give him. He also asked me first if it was okay. But i do think its rude to do so without asking the owners permission first. If it had been the frenchies, i would have told him no because they can get into serious battles over treats so i have to give those to them seperately.
Thankfully a fence will be going up. You really dont want your dogs taking food from strangers anyway. You never know if the time comes and they get mad at you or your dogs, that they may put something harmful in the stuff they are throwing to your dogs. It happens alot more than people realize.
We have learned in the past few weeks that our new neighbors are A-holes. The "fence" they put up will probably blow over at the first big wind. Their dogs in their backyard evidently are sick....my dogs have gotten kennel cough from them. Which sucks to clean up the mess they are coughing up all the time. But anyways...we plan on moving soon anyways. We made a offer on a house last night we are just waiting for the call saying they have accepted our offer.
