I always think it is weird when I meet someone on a forum and they live not far from me. On my great dane forum I met one lady that lives 10 minutes from me and now we always meet up so our dogs will play. I was born at the General Hospital and I grew up in Petrolia. Thats about 15 minutes from Wichita. I have lived in Wichita for 4 years now.
My sister lives about 20 minutes from North Richland Hills. She works in the Grapevine area driving a FedEx truck. My dad also lives there. He drives a semi(bull hauler). But he works for Fort Worth Cattle Express. They are out of Blue Mound. I go to Forth Worth about once a month. I was supposed to go down there to go out in a few weeks but without my ID I can't get into my sisters hangout. So I will have to wait until I get it.
I knew that you were in WF and had a sister near me as well, but I guess I didn't realize you were born in WF and I doubt that I ever mentioned that either! We moved when I was 3....
I am not from this area... We moved here about 10 years ago and I would never want to live in Dallas. It is really funny how most people (myself included before I moved here) think of Dallas/Fort worth as one of the same... but they couldn't be more different! Dallas is the busy "big" city and Fort Worth is more layed back. I am definitely more of a FW gal! But hey, if you like the fast life, you will like Dallas!
Even Fort Worth is fast paced compared to Wichita. About two years ago we were looking into moving to the Benbrook or Hulen area. I wish we would have moved. Then Brad never would have been injured.
My Husband is from Texas,we visit every year.Since I won't fly we drive and what a drive that is!!! I40 is so long and boring, well anyways he has a son in North Richland Hills, a daughter near Bridgeport (Paradise City) beautiful country ,a daughter in Killeen his Mom lives in Denver City,Tx.where he grew up.(near Lubbock)sister in Amarillo ,blah, blah, blah.Last year we stayed two nights in WF ,stayed near Dennys. I thought WF was a nice place.
It might be a nice place to visit, but you should try living here. You would be bored to death. Another thing that I am not crazy about here is the weather. it can't make up its mind. But I guess thats just TX for you.
Well that is what my husband says about Texas"you never know one day to the next what the weather is going to be".But one thing Texas has that he loves...DALLAS COWBOYS
