I think it is disgusting and abhorrent that anyone would contribute to the sale of pets. It's because some low life trashy people are too freaking lazy to get a real job---so they have to make money on the backs of animals--- which results in overpopulation and over breeding---which causes sickly animals. There are over 80,000 cats that are put down annually. People should be encouraged to adopt pets...if they truly loved pets---that's what they would really do. But in their greed, snobbishness----and selfishness--they have to have a "Certain Kind of Pet"--how sick!! I see you and anyone that contributes to this pimp trade---as pigs yourself!!

Would you stop bashing people for buying from a breeder? You guys are the pigs! You make me sick when you bash someone for spending their money how they want it. It's THEIR money, stop terrorizing them!!".  Am I reading this right?  Isn't this what goes on all the time over there when someone has a love for a mixed breed dog they are interested in purchasing?  I'm dumbfounded here.  So we can clearly spend our money the way we want to as long as we agree with you and buy a pure breed?  Is that right?

You know, the last time I looked I lived in a free country so therefore even though most of my money goes to the government I believe I have the right to do what I wish with the rest and that is if I want to by a certain dog I will.  again, hypocritical comment.  If the poster would have stated that ONLY mixed breeding 'stinks' then you would not see these comments, but when you include the perfect people over at TP's Magic Dreamland in on your statement then you MUST be wrong.  It's THEIR money to spend as they wish but evidently no one else can because if someone chooses to spend THEIR money on a mixed breed they lose what few marbles they have.  One of the reasons I left that board.  You cannot get consistant information over there.  The thread I am referring to over there is nothing but proof that if you agree with them (i.e. you can spend your money as you wish as long as it's on a pure breed) you can survive.  If you don't agree with them (i.e. you want to spend your money on a mixed breed) then survival is not an option.  I'm not a fan of crossing every breed of dog int he country with each other either, but if thats what someone wants then who am I to say no?  Unlike the Magic Dreamlanders, I can respectfully say my thoughts and opinions without trying to make someone else feel bad for the views and beliefs they have.  Thats also why I like this board.

Hi guys and thanks for the welcome!

Nope, I didn't get banned!  I have been in and out on all of the boards, but not very much since I'm back at work, covering a maternity leave for the next couple of months. 

Kula's tummy is SO much better and he's 100% on Natural Balance.  He loves it and seems to be doing great; I think the probiotics have helped quite a bit, so I'm going to keep him on that for another couple of months at least.  Thanks again for all of the help Smooshie!

Now our biggest hurdle is getting Kula used to being alone for a large part of the day.  I get to come home at lunch to let him out and play with him, but he sure isn't happy about being in his crate.  He's so used to us being around. The good thing is that it's gotten him over his separation anxiety a bit.  He won't pee in the crate if he's left alone now, and doesn't feel the need to be right by your side all of the time. He turned 5 months old yesterday and has been with us for 3 months today....it seems like he's always been here! 

I for one pretty much laugh at the TP bs....it's all the same every day.  I go on and try to help when I can, but I'm certainly not considered one of the experts (I purposely bought a mixed breed dog, after all :).  The whole ban on off topic threads just makes it a daily recycling of the same old questions and debates.  Hopefully this board will take off and we can bring back some of the fun that we used to be able to have over there!

Isn't it funny that folks can't understand that bashing others over the head with their opinions only drives people farther away?!  I'm the exact same way...educate me without preaching, speak to me respectfully and I may come over to your way of thinking....insult me, talk to me like I'm an idiot, and I'm just digging my heels in.  I guess I really try to temper those topics that get me on my soapbox (there ARE many, I assure you), with as much respect and "live and let live" attitude as I possibly can, otherwise I don't think any one hears anything more than my ranting and raving attitude.

Like my mom always says..."when we rule the world, things will be different..."  :)
