It has been slow today....hardly any posts. After tomorrow I'll be on more. We are having a memorial service tomorrow afternoon. Still don't have a positive ID....they announced it in the paper as 'presumably dead'. Weird. I've never been to a 'memorial' service......there has always been a funeral.....but no casket or anything....not sure what to expect. I guess its just a way to find closure since we don't know how long the state will have the body.
Anyway, after tomorrow, I'll be changing things around some. Can't wait till the poll is over so I can get the domain. So far, looks like its gonna be thefurum.com. Will there be any last minute votes? Hmmmm.....lol
WOW!!! .How long before they make a positve ID? I guess a memorial is just like a funeral except no body. How is the kids Dad doing, any better? Well,I hope things get better for you. I ALREADY VOTED......... can we vote twice? J/K
I'm really sorry for what you are going through Ansy.
It has been really dead on here for the past couple of days. Did everyone go on vacation or something? Did everyone forget about this place? PLEASE COME BACK PEOPLE!!!
I know what you mean - it has been very quiet here. I keep checking in but nothing has been happening. Unfortunately, I've never been great on starting topics.
Ansy, unfortunately through the years I have attended a couple of memorial services. It is basically a way for everyone who has been affected by the loss to get together. Many times there is a member of the clergy to say a few words just as they would normally and others are usually welcome to share some happy memories with everyone.
You will be in my thoughts tomorrow. I am so sorry you & your family.
Do we have an entire board of people who are better at responding to topics than they are at starting them? I don't usually start them either, but I keep checking in just in case someone starts a good one. Perhaps I'll put on my thinking cap (do we have an emoticon for that?) and try to think of a new topic.
